Drug stores have adopted i-View's Fisheye cameras to protect their property from theft

Mission

Background

i-View Communication Inc. in Taiwan has successfully deployed a new IP surveillance system with the implementation of i-view’s camera and NVR’s software in chain drug stores.

Solution

The new IP surveillance system for each store comprises 18 units of IR-5MIP542, 5 Megapixel IP Day/Night Bullet Camera, 5 units FE-5MIP built-in two way audio 5 Megapixel IP Camera and 1 unit AnyNet-3208NVR.

The main purpose of deploying a new IP-based surveillance system for drug store is to prevent the shoplifting and employee theft issues, which are the biggest issue of loss for a retail store.

Benefit

The new IP surveillance system provided by i-view is definitely a cost-effective way in comparison with the traditional CCTV system. i-view IP Cameras are equipped with Power over Ethernet (PoE), which enables data transmission and power support over single network cable. This can help on saving extra cable installation expenses and labor costs.
IR-5MIPN42 allows them to do digital zoom in to get a closer look at the store. For example, an incident occurred where a customer insisted that she had not stolen the goods in store. The clerk spoke to the manager regarding this, and the manager searched through the footage of IR-5MIPN42. To ensure that there will be clear image supported in case of shoplifting or employee theft, i-view’s video quality ensures all are under cautious surveillance which prevents properties from stolen or damaged.
