How to rebuild up the Raid HDD function?

If there is Raid system defect (The HDD defect more than 1 (Raid 5) and More than 2 HDD defect Raid 6) and you need to rebuild the new Raid function from the existing HDDs. To Re-build up the new Raid HDD on the AnyNet NVR follow the steps shown as below:


The used HDDs has some existing data, so you must clear the Data first, otherwise it will cause the setup the HDs failed easily.

1.Clickbutton from Control panel of NVR to enable the Raid setting diagram. As this process which you can modify the Raid card setting from NVR’s O.S. (Operation System)

2.Click the IP address and the default the IP address is 127.0.0.1, then entry the User name/

 Password to click “Login” icon. The default is admin/(No password) or Administrator/(No password).
If you change the “administer account” user name & password of Windows O.S., the Raid card username/ password should be same as changed “administer account”.

3.You need to Select “Logical” section, then select “Virtual Device” item.  Right click Mouse and then choice “Delete Virtual Drive” icon.

4.Click “Yes” to delete the Raid Drive.

5.Turn on the NVR which has been built in the Raid card, you will see the diagram as below  and then press <Ctrl> <H> to entry the WebBIOS of Raid card to setup the Raid function.

6.Check the Adapter number which on the screen list.

7.Select “All configurations” item and then click “clear” button to delete the data.

8.Click “Yes” icon to delete all previous foreign configuration.

After Step 1-8 process that can delete the data of existing Raid HDD completely.

9.You can start to rebuild the Raid function after step 1~8.
Click “Configuration Wizard” section from main screen of WedBIOS and then select the “New Configuration” item and then click “Next” button to continue the process.

10.Click “Configuration Wizard” section from main screen of WedBIOS and then select the “New Configuration” item and then click “Next” button to continue the process.

11.Click “Yes” button to clear the previous configuration.

12.Click “Manual Configuration” item and then click “Next” button to continue the process.

13.Press <Ctrl> key and click the left button of Mouse to select available HDDs from “Drives” section, then click the “Add To Array” icon.  The selected HDDs will show on “Drive Groups” section, then click the “Accept DG” icon to confirmed these HDDs.

14.Click “Next” to continue process.

15.Click the “Add to SPA” icon, the selected item will show on “Span” section, then click “Next” to continue process.

16.Select Raid mode from “Raid Level” (Such as Raid 5, Raid 6), then click “Update Size” icon to show the HDD sizes.

17.The other parameters use the setting as below diagram is strong recommend, then click the “Accept” icon and “Yes” to confirm “Write Back” mode.

18.The HDD drive show on the “Virtual Drive” section, then click “Next” icon to continue the process.

19.Click “Drive Group 0” and the selected HDDs will be listed and please check all the list HDDs same as your setting.  And then click “Accept” icon to continue process.

20.Click “Yes” to save the configuration.

21.Click “Cancel” to and “No” icon go back the main screen of WebBIOS.

22.Click “Virtual Drive: 0” device and then to check the setting of parameters.  If there is any mistake, please correct it (the setting please refer the below diagram) and then click “Change” icon to modify the setting. Or click “Home” icon to go back the main screen of WebBIOS.

23.Click “Exit” icon and “Yes” icon to exit the Raid setting application.

24.Press the power button to reboot the NVR system.

26.Select “Logical” section, then select “Virtual Device” item.  Right click Mouse and then choice “Set Virtual Drive Properties” icon.

27.Check the parameters which same as your setting or not?  If yes, please click “OK” icon.

28.Check “Confirm” icon and click “Yes” to finish the setting.
