【Product Overview】

The IFLAS® Inter-floor Linkage Alert System (IFLAS) is an intelligent lane safety solution designed specifically for multi-level parking garages, underground parking facilities, single-lane two-way ramps, and sloped passing areas.By combining high-precision radar vehicle detection technology with real-time inter-floor linkage control logic, IFLAS proactively activates warning signals and traffic control before vehicles enter ramps or blind-spot areas. This effectively reduces collision risks caused by limited visibility, curved ramps, and opposing up/down traffic, significantly enhancing overall parking safety.

Inter-floor Bi-directional Linkage
When a vehicle is detected entering a lane or ramp on any floor, the system instantly synchronizes with upper and lower floors, automatically triggering traffic lights or high-intensity warning beacons to prevent opposing vehicles from entering.

Predictive Active Lane Warning
The system provides drivers with a clear visual alert indicating “Vehicle Approaching Ahead.” For example, when a vehicle is ascending from a lower level, warning lights on the upper level immediately switch to red or flashing alerts, reminding descending drivers to slow down or yield—greatly reducing head-on collision risks.

Intelligent Detection Logic
Equipped with directional radar vehicle detectors, IFLAS accurately identifies vehicle movement direction and object size, effectively eliminating false triggers and ensuring highly reliable alerts.

All-Weather Protection
Whether in low-light underground garages, semi-outdoor parking areas, or busy peak hours, the system operates reliably without being affected by lighting conditions, dust, rain, or underground environments—significantly reducing ramp passing accidents.

Stable 24/7 Operation

  • Independent control for each floor, no mutual interference
  • Dual-direction countdown displays to reduce driver waiting anxiety
  • Single device failure does not compromise overall system safety

This solution integrates radar vehicle detectors with programmable time controllers to manage inter-floor traffic signals and improve driving safety.
System Operation:

  1. When a vehicle enters the radar detection zone in a specific direction, the programmable controller activates a red light (or flashing beacon with buzzer).
  2. Once the countdown ends, the red light is automatically turned off and switches to green, allowing passage.
  3. If another vehicle in the same direction is detected during the countdown, the timer resets automatically.

Each floor operates independently to prevent system-wide disruption due to a single controller failure.

This solution uses directional radar vehicle detectors combined with a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to intelligently manage traffic signals for single-lane, two-way inter-floor ramps.
Key Capabilities:

  • Real-time lane occupancy detection
  • Automatic switching to one-way traffic mode
  • Configurable maximum continuous passage time to prevent long waits
  • Balanced safety and traffic efficiency

Effectively prevents head-on collisions, wrong-way entry, and inter-floor traffic conflicts.

Scenario 1: Lane Empty (Alternating Signal Mode)

  • When no vehicle is detected, entry signals at B1 and B2 alternate.
  • Red/green intervals can be set to 5, 10, or 15 seconds.
  • Opposite signal display is recommended to avoid simultaneous entry at transition points.

Scenario 2: B1 Green Light with Vehicle Entry

  • B1: Green light + “Proceed”
  • B2: Red light + “Do Not Enter”
  • Lane enters one-way operation to prevent opposing traffic.

Scenario 3: Single Vehicle Passage at B1

  • No additional detection within 10 seconds after entry.
  • System determines lane is clearing and switches B1 to red.
  • Returns to alternating signal mode.

※ 10 seconds = average passing time + 2 seconds safety buffer.

Scenario 4: Continuous Vehicle Entry at B1

  • When a vehicle behind continuously triggers radar detection during the B1 green light period:
    • Each detection resets a 10-second green timer.
  • Continuous entry is allowed.Maximum continuous passage is limited to 3 minutes to avoid excessive waiting on the opposite side.

Scenario 5: Continuous Passage Reaches 3 Minutes

  • Continuous Passage Reaches 3 Minutes:
    • B1 switches to red with “Do Not Enter.”
  • B2 turns green 10 seconds after the last B1 detection.
  • If the lane is empty, the system returns to alternating signal mode.

Eliminate Congestion and Waiting Anxiety

For large enterprises facing congestion during off-work peak hours when multiple floors exit simultaneously, Tian-Lin Technology offers a time-based traffic control solution. Through automated scheduling and fair access mechanisms, the system ensures orderly vehicle exit across all floors.

  1. Schedule Activation: Automatically enabled during preset peak hours (e.g., weekdays at 5:00 PM), defining passage time for each floor.
  2. Clear Guidance: The active floor displays a green light, while others show red lights with countdown timers to ease driver anxiety.
  3. Cyclic Switching: Passage rights rotate automatically based on the preset schedule.
  4. Auto Reset: After peak hours, the system returns to normal operation.
