Protecting high-valued accessories by implementing network surveillance system

“I appreciate what i-View surveillance system provides me. All the systems are built network, I can even monitor the store at home and on my portable devices. It goes without saying that those megapixel cameras provide perfect images at any time.” —Said Vincent Yang.

Mission

Background

Luxi Jewelry, a luxury accessory retailer in Taipei City, Taiwan, displays necklaces, bracelets, and rings valued over two million US dollars. I could not afford the loss from any bankruptcy, even once, said Vincent Yang, the owner of Luxi Jewelry. The area of the store is 6610 square feet, including displaying area, reception area, and strong room. All of accessories must to be moved into strong room before closing.

Solution

The system integrator designed a solution for Luxi Jewelry. They installed two fisheye cameras, two IR dome cameras, one bullet camera, and a NVR. Those devices are developed by i-View Communication. At the front door, they implemented “IR-2MIPS04-M0311-F”, 2 megapixel bullet camera built with on-board storage and motorized lens. At the displaying area and strong room, 5 megapixel fisheye “FE-5MIPN-F01-F” were installed, which ensures the most important areas can be completely monitored. IR dome cameras are installed at the entrance of the strong room and the reception room. They use “Anynet-0804 Lite” embedded NVR system, which provides sufficient storage capability and i-View developed software function.

With i-View solution, Luxi Jewelry can acquire clear images of intruders and receive notification and snap shot when motion detection is triggered. Therefore, the intruders do not have enough time to break into the strong room. Police can have more time to arrest intruders at the scene.

Result

Actually, with the strong surveillance system like this, no one has ever thought about breaking into Luxi Jewelry. Even employees do not dare stole things in the store.
