What is TrafficView® Journey Time Measurement System?

Install cameras at the entrance and exit of the road or at two points on the road. Obtain the distance between the license plate numbers of all passing vehicles and the installed cameras through the ANPR function. The system can automatically calculate the driving speed of each car in interval zones and punish the overspeeding vehicles based on the calculated result. Combining each vehicle’s speed and time section can calculate the average driving speed of the road section.
Integrated with intelligent video analytics (IVA), the Journey Time Measurement System can provide real-time traffic information, such as traffic flow statistics, reverse driving detection, pedestrian intrusion warning… and more.

Vehicle speeding detection
Install cameras at the entrance and exit of the road or at two points on the road. Obtain the distance between the license plate numbers of all passing vehicles and the installed cameras through the ANPR function. The system can automatically calculate the driving speed of each car in interval zones and punish the overspeeding vehicles based on the result.


Illegal vehicle detection
Import the database of the illegal vehicle to the TrafficView® JTMS Server, and the system will automatically compare the recognized license plate number with the database. When an unlawful vehicle is found, warning messages, photos, and the vehicle’s location will instantly pop up to facilitate relevant processing by law enforcement officers. The system can recognize tens of thousands of license plates every day, which is of great help in detecting illegal vehicles.


Journey time measurement and estimation
The system can instantly know the travel time required by each vehicle on the road segment. After statistics and averaging the travel time of all cars in each period, you can obtain the average vehicle speed. Based on this data, it can estimate the travel journey time of the segment. The system can send the estimated travel time of the road segment to the information board through 4G wireless transmission, providing a reference basis for using drivers-by as the driving route.


Traffic jam measurement and prediction
The JTMS system performs real-time statistics and averages the driving time of the vehicles in the road segment. When the average speed is lower than the setting value, it indicates a traffic jam and the degree of traffic jam can be defined according to the setup value. The traffic jam information is sent to the display board through the 4G wireless transmission. Provide a reference basis for using vehicle drivers as a diversion.

Traffic flow statistics and forecast
The system has the function of counting the traffic flow, measuring the traffic flow the whole day, and displaying the data in the form of charts. According to the statistical analysis data, the user can know the traffic flow at each period. Using the known data to forecast the traffic flow adjusts the traffic control process to reduce traffic jam time.

Video

Mobile ALPR system use for on-duty police cars
This video uses the i-View’s PlateFinder® mobile license plate recognition system to perform roadside parking and vehicle license plate recognition at a speed of about 50~60Km/H. The recognition vehicle types include automobiles and motorcycles. The system can support installing a second camera to help to recognize the vehicle’s license plate on the opposite lane so that the police duty efficiency can increase by 100%.
